A 7,000 s.f. addition includes new administrative offices, a sales center, accounting, purchasing, a conference room, and a modular, flexible open office area. DSS provided all of the steel for the facility, including plasma cut beams, tube, plate, channels and beams. The central space is a column-less open office area spanned with 70 ft bar joists.
Open Office
The building was conceived as an opportunity to exhibit the company's carbon steel product line and processing capabilities; virtually all structural steel was left exposed and augmented with a vocabulary of exposed steel w-shapes, channels, rods, panels, plates, and welded bar grating comprising screens, lights fixtures, shelves, wall panels, reception desk.
